Since we are talking about collections and money from different countries tomorrow during our Zoom...
Today's question... If you could travel to any country in the world, where would you travel? I really want to see Australia and Antarctica. I think it would be amazing to see such vast landscape differences so close together! If I had to choose one, I would pick Australia...I have always wanted to see the outback animals and people, and snorkel in The Great Barrier Reef. For Math today, please complete the GoMath Mid-Chapter Check on page 532. Make sure to send me a picture of your completed work. If you can't find the page, you can write out your answers or print out the following page. On Wednesdays we usually have Computers with Mrs. Thueson. Please visit the Computers class website for the activities she has planned for 2nd grade this week. She has included alternate activities in case the assignment is too difficult or has requirements you can't meet easily. Scroll to the bottom of the Computer class page to see those alternate assignments. https://sites.google.com/a/alpinedistrict.org/cedarvalleycomputers/home/grade-2 We also usually have PE with Mrs. Shanks. Mrs. Cherry has given some BRAND NEW ideas for PE that I am sharing here for you. Also, don't forget about Star Wars Tag and GoNoodle...they get you moving too! All of the activities should be approved by parents before beginning!

If you are having issues accessing the Heggerty video for today, you can watch it here, then go back to Wonders and click SUBMIT when you are done.
For writing, look at the planning page for this week's writing assignment. You need to decide what kind of money you want to take on an adventure, and plan out a few fun things for it to do along the way. Once you've decided, make your plan, follow the format, use your best handwriting, and turn in your final draft to me by taking a picture and sending it by email or Dojo message, or typing it in Wonders. U6W4 is due May 10th.

Today's Assignments:
1. Work toward Lexia goal (This is a priority! It is geared toward your specific needs!)
2. Work on Green iReady lessons (This is a priority! It is geared toward your specific needs!)
3. Answer the question of the day (This is a priority! It is really important to stay emotionally and socially connected with everyone.)
4. Have FUN!!! (This is a priority! Students need to feel safe and loved during this time of crisis and instability.)
5. Do GoMath Mid-Chapter Check on page 532, and send me a photo of your completed work. If you feel like you are ready, you can start the iReady end of year diagnostic test. TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Work out problems on paper or whiteboard before you answer.
6. Read for 20 minutes-Wonders, Epic or Sora, etc. (This is important for making sure students are as ready as they can be for 3rd grade.)
7. Do Writing Skills Workbook, Unit 6.4 day 3. Work on your plan for your final draft of writing.
8. Do 1 spelling game and 1 high frequency word (HFW) game on Spelling City. (These are less important, but help build the phonics skills students need to be fluent readers.)
9. Do Morning Workbook page 156. Number of the day is 156! (This is less important, but offers a good review to keep everything we've learned this year fresh.)
10. Do the Computers assignment from Mrs. Thueson (this is less important, but helps keep a sense of normalcy with our specialty schedule, and gives a break form the monotony of some of the other assignments.)
