April 30th
It was so good to see your faces yesterday, and Mrs. Bellitti! Thanks for listening to Harry Potter, you were good listeners.
We have some fun opportunities coming our way. Today at 1-1:30pm, you should be able to see some F-35 fighter jets from hill Air Force Base fly over! Make sure to be outside! Also, on Friday at 10:30am, we have the opportunity to join a Disney themed online dance class given by Louis Van Amstel from Dancing with the Stars! Use this link to sign up for a live class! https://lablastfitness.com/free-lablast-live-classes/ There are other classes available Monday-Thursday as well, and the link allows you to sign up for those too! 👍 Next week I will finish up the Math lessons for 2nd grade content, then the iReady diagnostic assessment will be assigned. If you have borrowed a Chromebook, the assessment needs to be completed before you turn it back in. Also, I will be at the school on Monday between 11am and noon to give back the art calendars the students have made this year. If you cannot be there, I will deliver them to your home later in the day. We also need to get all of the Library books, Bookmobile books, and Take Home Reading books returned to the school as soon as you are done with them. There are boxes outside the school M-W, 9am to noon. We have had some updates to our end-of-year schedule below... Today's question... What end-of-year activity are you the most excited for? I am most excited to do the teacher scavenger hunt...you're going to have to come FIND ME!!! I can't wait to see you in person again! My answer from yesterday is: Breakout Boxes, playing games, telling jokes, and just having fun with YOU! That is what I loved the most about 2nd grade this year! Today for math, do GoMath lesson 11.8: Show Equal Parts of a Whole on pages 537-540. I do NOT need pictures of your work. If you have already completed this lesson, do the assigned BLUE iReady lessons you haven't completed yet. On Thursdays we usually have Library with Mrs. Montgomery. She has set up an Instagram account for the school library @CVEWranglersLibrary. Feel free to check out what she has posted so far. We also have a page full of our awesome staff members reading some pretty great books! Please check them out! Also, don't forget to check out Harry Potter chapter 6 part 1, read by me on our CHALLENGE page! Happy reading! https://sites.google.com/alpinedistrict.org/cve/read/read-aloud?authuser=0 |
