March 30th
Today, I will be at the school to gather supplies and hand them out at 10-11am. If you can't stop by during that time, I will drop them by your home later in the day. I will have instructions on what to do with those workbooks starting on Tuesday.
Today's question... I have missed doing Calendar with you everyday, so today I want you to pretend you are our Meteorologist (Weather Watcher). What would you say is the weather today? Choices from Calendar are: Sunny, Partly Sunny, Cloudy, Partly Cloudy, Windy, Rainy, Snowy, Foggy, Cold, Warm, and Hot. I would have to say partly cloudy and cold. I will tell you tomorrow what won. I have updated the survey, please look at it each day and mark off what you complete. The student number is required so I can make sure I'm getting the correct assignments from the correct students. If your student has forgotten their number, I can message you. I may change the survey depending on which assignments I give each day, so please check and answer it daily. Tomorrow I will start doing more paper assignments once everyone has their math books and workbooks. Please check in with me if you are struggling with anything! Also, I will be starting to assign some videos on phonics for some students. Please let me know if you are having trouble viewing them. These videos are of Heggerty lessons that students had with me before the closure. These videos have been done by another teacher, but have the same content and movements I use. I'm hoping to have a "Show and Tell" Zoom meeting on Wednesday or Thursday. Students will be able to show a pet or item from home. I will have 2 meeting times again, 10:30-11am and 6:30-7pm. Please let me know which day works better for you. Today's Assignments:
1. Read a story on Wonders 2. Try to finish all Blue lessons on iReady 3. Do 1 spelling game on Spelling City 4. Do 1 high frequency word game on Spelling City 5. Answer the question of the day 6. Do Vocabulary on Wonders 7. Decide a Show and Tell day on Zoom, Wednesday or Thursday, and tell Mrs. Cobabe 8. Work toward your Lexia goal 9. Have FUN!!! Every School Day:
Wonders Online: (Login instructions sent with passwords email) Complete to do list activities, new ones assigned each day. Make sure you look at the story, then go back to the assignment and click "SUBMIT". iReady: Complete the assigned lesson (blue box), then you can work on your own level (green box). New assignments available each day. The lesson (blue box) is not complete until they do the practice and the quiz. It should take around 20 minutes to complete. Dojo: Answer daily question from Mrs. Cobabe Spelling City: Do one game for spelling words, and one game for high frequency words. Lexia: Students should still do Lexia 10 minutes a day, or as needed to meet their weekly goal. (Goal information sent out with the passwords email) Writing will need to be submitted by photo through Dojo or email. The files needed to plan and write are linked below. U5W5 is due April 3rd. Please read the instructions file first. All online work is currently listed as due on Sundays, or the following Monday in case you are unable to access content on a weekday for some reason. |
