April 2nd
It was fun to see you and hear what you had to share yesterday. Today is my son's 18th birthday! So, I thought it would be fun to hear about your best birthday EVER!
Today's question... What was the best birthday or birthday party you have ever had? If you haven't had one, what would make it the best birthday ever? My best birthday was when I turned 8. I had family come from out of town and we had a giant party. I got everything I wanted (a pogo ball and scooter) and even got to help make my cake (my mom always made mine by hand, but this was the first birthday she thought I was old enough to help). I have assigned videos on phonics for some students through the Wonders website. You will need to copy the web address provided and paste it into the internet browser address bar, preferably into a new tab so you can go right back to the assignment and click "Submit" once finished. Please let me know if you are having trouble viewing them. These videos are of Heggerty lessons that students had with me before the closure. These videos have been done by another teacher, but have the same content and movements I use. If you don't see an assignment that says "Heggerty Video" and the name of the day of the week, then you don't have the videos assigned and don't need to complete them. Please check in with me if you are struggling with anything! For Math today, you just need to do the Mid Chapter Check on page 480, then take a picture and send it to me. If you haven't done the previous lesson, you probably want to do those first, then do page 480. On Thursdays we usually have Library with Mrs. Montgomery. Read a book (real or online) in your favorite place to read at home. I'd love to see a picture, but you don't have to send one. Remember you can use Epic or Sora for online books. Today's Assignments:
1. Read a story on Wonders 2. Mid Chapter Check (page 480) in GoMath 3. Do 1 spelling game on Spelling City 4. Do 1 high frequency word game on Spelling City 5. Answer the question of the day 6. Read a book in your favorite place, take a picture if you want to share 7. Do Writing Skills Workbook, Unit 5.5 day 4 8. Do Morning Workbook page 142. Number of the day is 142! 8. Work toward Lexia goal 9. Have FUN!!! Every School Day:
Wonders Online: (Login instructions sent with passwords email) Complete to do list activities, new ones assigned each day. Make sure you look at the story, then go back to the assignment and click "SUBMIT". MATH: Assigned GoMath lesson or iReady blue lesson. Also, do the number of the day page in your Morning Workbook. Dojo: Answer daily question from Mrs. Cobabe Spelling City: Do one game for spelling words, and one game for high frequency words. Lexia: Students should still do Lexia 10 minutes a day, or as needed to meet their weekly goal. (Goal information sent out with the passwords email) WRITING: Do the edits for the day, and work on writing assignment for the week. Writing final drafts will need to be submitted by photo through Dojo or email. The files needed to plan and write are linked below, but are also in your Writing Skills Workbook. U5W5 is due April 3rd. Please read the instructions file first. |
