March 19th
Crazy times! We are just ROCKIN' and ROLLIN' through this online stuff! As always, feel free to explore, do not feel pressure to do EVERYTHING! Adjust to what is doable for you and your family at this time.
As of right now, it looks like the most preferred office hours are daily from 10am-12pm and 6-8pm. So I will be checking in specifically at those times, but I am always available! I may not get back to you immediately, but I want to try and be as prompt as possible answering your questions. Today's question... What area of science interests you the most, and why? (Geology-study of rocks, Zoology-study of animals, Biology-study of life forms, etc) I am fascinated by Chemistry...How do substances react to each other? What substances mixed together form new substances? Is that new substance helpful, harmful, weird, or cool? The possibilities seem endless...a never-ending adventure! We usually have Library on Thursdays, so I will be posting fun reading options. Today, you can explore books being read by astronauts, or log in to Epic! https://storytimefromspace.com/library/ I have added student accounts to Epic (you can download an ANDROID or APPLE app, or visit the website). Books are listed by reading level (lie take home reading books) but feel free to read any level book! My class code is gll1154 (That's GLL1154, just lowercase) Today's Assignments: 1. Read a story on Wonders 2. Do a lesson on iReady 3. Do 1 spelling game on Spelling City 4. Do 1 high frequency word game on Spelling City 5. Answer the question of the day 6. Read something for fun! 7. Work toward your Lexia goal 8. Take a few Brain Breaks (a few ideas below to get you started) 9. Have FUN!!! |
